Our work started on the outside by distinguishing the front door and the back, seeing as they were both technically “front” doors in the duplex layout. By adding a sidewalk up to the door, it became much more inviting.
Before and After
Being a duplex, there were two of everything. Two kitchens, two living rooms, etc. We tore down walls and created an entirely new floor plan. Opening up and enlarging rooms made the house less claustrophobic and created a more spacious feeling. See some of the before and after pictures below.
